Banana
Fiber One Strawberry Yogurt Yoplait,

Appke

Lunch:
Weight Watchers Smart Ones Three Cheese Ziti Marinara

Afternoon Snack:
Carrot Sticks

Dinner:
Campbell's Soup at Hand Creamy Tomato

And I'm still going to Planet Fitness 3-4 times a week. So hopefully that is helping!

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

Alright, having groceries certainly makes dieting easier.

Weight today 178 lbs. Calories consumed = 1550, calories burned = 140 calories ... overall calories = 1410 = AWESOME!

Breakfast:
Banana (well actually half of it, cause half of it was REAL bruised)
YoPlus Light Yogurt, Honey Vanilla

Mid Morning Snack:
Balance Bar, Mint Chip

Lunch:
Healthy Choice, Pumpkin Squash Ravioli

Mid Afternoon Snack:
Orange

Dinner:
Salad: spinach, red leaf lettuce, roasted chicken, tomato, onion, almonds, 1000 island dressing
Healthy Choice French Onion Soup - with low fat croutons & low fat cheese
2 slices Pepperidge Farm 15 Grain Double Protein Bread w/Olivio

After dinner snack:
Weight Watchers Chocolate Mousse Popsicle

I have to stay, I'm still raving about the Weight Watchers popsicle. It tastes like REAL chocolate fudge, and has a whopping 60 calories. It's definitely one of my favorites. I managed to go for a walk after work today, and do 20 situps and 10 push ups. I didn't catch the walk at work lunch, because things were HOPPING at work, and I pretty much ate at my desk while working through lunch.

I think I need to join a gym so that I can jog on an elliptical, jogging on pavement hurts my ankles.

St. Patrick's day. It's my Irish heritage, so I ate well tonight. Which was possibly a poor decisio, because my weight is still 178, and my calorie intake was somewhere around 2500. Diet fail. But a happy St. Paddy's day.

Breakfast:
Apples
Dannon, Light & Fit Nonfat Strawberry Yogurt

Mid Morning Snack:
Balance Bar, Triple Chocolate

Lunch:
Weight Watchers Smart Ones Fettucini Alfredo with Chicken
Orange

Mid afternoon snack:
Pepperidge Farm Whole Grain 15 Grain Hearty Double Protein with Olivio

Dinner:
Chicken quesadilla
Cheesy bacon potato skins

Dinner was awesome, but way tooo many calories! I did get some Wii Fit in today, so there's the helpful benefit of exercise, but really, all in all today was too many calories, and even though there was some exercise, there was not enough.

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

Woot. Back again. Alright, here's the low down for today. According to Spark People, I consumed 1525 calories, but I also worked off 50 calories during my WiiFit time. Leaving me at 1475 for the day.

Weight today 178 pounds - but now with the calorie tracking, I know it will continue to go down!

Breakfast:
Apples,
Dannon, Light & Fit Nonfat Strawberry Yogurt
Balance Bar Trail Mix Chocolate Chip

Lunch:
Carrots, raw, 1 cup
Smart Ones Fettucini Alfredo,

Mid afternoon snack:
Banana

Dinner:
Salad: red leaf lettuce, spinach, tomato, onion, roasted chicken, almonds, 2 tbsp caesar dressing
2 pieces Pepperidge Farm Whole Grain Double Protein bread, toasted w/olivio

After dinner snack:
Nabisco, 100 Calorie Packs, Cheese Nips Thin Crisps, 21 grams

Plus, I got on my Wii Fit and did some of my step routines and a little bit of my boxing today. And did the horizontal Irish jig, so BURNED some calories as well. I need to add some toning to my routine instead of just cardio too, and then I will be on my way to swim suit shape! And I really need to start the lunch time exercise, it's just been SOOOO busy though!

Breakfast
Yogurt - activia light
Cherry tomatoes

I forgot to buy fruit this week thus far, but I like tomatoes better than bananas, so I'm not sad.

Mid morning snack
Zone perfect bar - dark chocolate mocha

I like these

Lunch
Smart Ones - Southwestern wrap

Gotta love when a company makes something that gives you the appropriate amount of veggies, protein and grains per meal - LITTLE high on the sodium though.

Afternoon snack
100 calorie snack pack - cheese nip crackers
Carrot sticks

Man the crackers are so much tastier, and I'm allowed to have so few of them as compared to the carrots.

Dinner
Honey Chipoltle Encrusted Salmon
Lemon Butter Noodles
Southwestern Corn Mix

The noodles are the best part, and I have to have such a small portion of them. But everything else is spicy and tasty!

The worst part, is that I followed this up with entirely too much Valentine's day candy! Cause it was on sale, and cheap today, and chocolate makes me happy. Boo. No weight loss looking possible this week. Must put exercise on the to-do list.

Monday, January 18, 2010

I swear, I will get this New Year's Resolution to lose 30 pounds down, I will. My problem is, I love food. Love it. Especially carbs and sugar. Nothing makes you feel better than a whole bowl of pasta with bread, washed down by a whole box of chocolates. Upon finishing, you sit there thinking... "This, this is why the struggle to the top of the food chain was worth it." And nothing would make you happier than eating like that all the time, the problem is, nothing will make you fatter than eating like that all the time.

And as a modern American woman, the last thing I want to be is fat. Both on an appearance scale, and on the "I would like to be able to run up a flight of stairs without passing out" scale, as well as the "I don't want to die of diabetes/cholesterol/various assorted other problems" scale.

So my diet. My diet makes me unhappy. And currently I am working two jobs, which leaves less time to exercise, more time to stress, and more reasons to eat.

So today, I pack a bag of food for all three meals, because I will be leaving the house at 7 am, and not returning until 9:30 p.m.

Breakfast
- Apple (roma)
- Yogurt (Dannon Light, lime)
- Balance Bar (very berry)

The apple is good, the yogurt is stomachable, and the balance bar is JUST PLAIN AWFUL, it hurts to get it down. But it has protein, and is half the calories of it's chocolate-covered companions. But it's awful, this is why I used to eat the choco-covered ones.

Lunch
- Salad with grilled chicken, red lettuce, spinach, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers & two tbsp of Thousand Island dressing.
- Campbell's Cream of Tomato soup-to-go

The salad is good. Good thing I chose so many varieties of veggies to put in, I don't get bored. And the Thousand Island dressing may not be low fat, but it has the same calories as the Balsamic Vinaigrette I bought, and the low fat dressing are all sugar and carbs anyway. I'd rather have the real calories and the taste. Soup is good as well.

Mid - afternoon snack
- Carrot stick and fresh green beans.

Eaten while driving home. To try and keep me full and from getting a candy bar while at job two. Success.

Dinner
- Tuna sandwich with a TINY bit of mayo on whole grain bread.
- Banana

Both decent. Eaten in a rush while on 15 mins break at job 2.

After dinner snack
- Plate of pasta and two piece bruschetta, left over from last week's pasta making extravaganza.

I should not have done this, I should not have done this. Everyone knows that the worst thing in the world for you is calories before bed. But I kinda worked out at job two, I ended up pushing all the carts in the parking lot in by myself, because there was no lot person assigned, and no one else was available to help. Still, I don't think I burned the calories that I ate. But I felt SO MUCH BETTER before I went to bed. That's the problem. The food makes me feel good. And less stressed.

Exercise for the day - pushing the carts in at the Home Depot, it made me break a sweat at one point, and I did it for about 40 minutes.
